Everyone Is Doing It!...

On June 6th my friend Sarah had gastric bypass. She is doing great. So far she has lost 34 pounds. I am so proud of her. At first she was having a hard time dealing with not eating, but now she is doing great! I am so happy for her. Her Mom and Dad had it July 6th. They are both at home now recovering.

My friend Amanda is planning on having the surgery Aug. 10th if everything goes as planned. She hopes she can fit all her appointments in by then. She is getting a little stressed out, but I know in the end she will be happy she has gone through it.

My husband, Mike is going in for his consultation July 22nd. Hopefully he will get approved rather quickly. I can't wait for him to get the surgery. I know it will help his over all health so much. I never thought I would be this supportive of the surgery but I am. I think it's great. I know it's not great for everyone, but the majority it is.

I just weighed today and I think I am at a plateau because in the last week I have only lost 1 pound. So now I have lost 93 pounds. I thought I was closer to the 100 pound mark than that. I am now at 239, so I have really lost 95 pounds. That's pretty good. I know the next 100 won't come off this easy. I am going to have to work it I am sure.
